The Breakout Academy encourages less experienced players (Bushin rank and Below) to improve and progress with their peers. It is not intended to replace the Breakout Series weekly events. With this in mind, winning an academy bracket will advance you to the Breakout Series bracket with a first-round bye (automatically placing you higher as a reward for doing well in the academy).

However, this does not mean you cannot compete in the academy again, and you're welcome to return to the next tournament. With this in mind, if you do take first place during 3 academy-level tournaments, there is a one-month probation period before you will be allowed to compete in it again to encourage you as a player to continue growing and improving.
